How do the producers of this show decide who gets paired with who as dsncing couples? Certain pros seem to get celebrities with some talent for dancing almost all the time and others get those needing the most help quite frequently. Does height, age, or even personality have anything to do with the choices or is it random pairings? I can't believe there is anything random about it! 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

They say it's because of height/width but I think it's kind of obvious they play favorites.

For 5 seasons in a row, Derek was paired with someone with dancing experience. Favoritism? I'd think so. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
