Will Stars Resist Signing Up?
Do you think that having some stars that have actual dance training and use dance in their professional careers will deter stars, in the future, from signng up. Last season with Mya and this season with Nicole, there has been a wide range of talent, and I was wondering if you thnk that some stars might not want to make themselves look bad by this.
Both seasons Len has tried to narrow that gap in his remarks and scores, but the professionals are clearly in a league of their own right from the start and it is only a matter of time (usually 5 or 6 weeks) before even Len has to give in.
What are your thoughts?

If There Was An Allstar Cast, Who Would You Want To See?
If DWTS was to do an Allstar season, who would be your choices from all of the season's contestants? I am going to limit my choices to 14, because I want to see competitionin certain categories...but you can make it any number that you want. In making my choices, I would want a little friendly competition in different categories, so here goes:
1. Battle of N'Sync: Joey Fatone and Lance Bass
2. Battle of NFL: Jason Taylor and Emmit Smith
3. Battle of Actors: Mario Lopez and Gilles Marini
4. Battle of Male Athletes: Helio Castroneves and Apolo Anton Ohno

6. Battle of Female Singers: Mel B. and Mya

Season 9... Great? Not great?
I'm having a hard time putting my finger on this season. I thought Donny and Kelly were two of the most fun people they've ever had on the show.
But then Mya never really caught on despite being the best dancer by far. And the rest of the cast wasn't all that engaging, either. There were so many weak links.
Maybe it was just the bigger cast that made it feel like it could have been better. I'd love to see them go back to 12 or 13 couples instead of 16. It felt like this season didn't even really get started until the last few weeks.
Any thoughts?

Mya playing it safe
Wow. If there was ever a time for Mya NOT to listen to Dmitry, it was for the freestyle dance. I was so bored. It was technically good. But she pulled a Gilles!

The "Blame Game"
OK...in the past, Mya has been given some harsh criticisms and it was usually about the choreography, of which she had no control...it was Dmitry. So here she is in the finals...they are doing the usual background story, and instead of more of the rehearsal of their free dance, they show Mya and Dmitry going back and forth about what the freedance should be about...with emphasis on "In the end, I decided to go with Dmitry's idea".
Let's face it, she is no shrinking violet....I think she could have swayed him more if she really wanted to. I really think that she was setting up a situation to blame Dmitry in the event the dance was not well received. You don't have to be a Philadelphia lawyer to know that the dance they did was not outstanding...and I think she realized it pretty quickly, and I also think that she tried to dot her 'I's" and cross her "T"'s" by making it clear that this dance was not her choice. Other opinions?
