Clothing designer Vera Wang may be the first celebrity to commit to performing on Season 9 of Dancing With The Stars. A source told E! News that the 60-year-old fashion icon had already signed with the show, but Wang responded by telling People that she was considering the show but hadn't signed yet.

Wang cited her conflicting fall fashion shows as possible reasons to skip DWTS, but acknowledged that she was "very flattered" to be asked.

If she does join the DWTS cast, Wang may have an advantage on the show: She was a professional figure skater as a teenager, and Kristi Yamaguchi showed how easily figure-skating skills can be applied to the dance floor. When asked to assess her dancing prowess, Wang told People, "I'm not spectacular. I'm not a ballroom dancer, I'm free form."
