Judges' Comments: Len talked about watching Buzz walk on the moon and how brave he was, but he then went on to say that he didn't like the dance. Bruno: After saying "How can I criticise a hero and a legend?" he proceeded to say "It looked like you had moon boots on". Carrie Ann thought his performance would inspire many people.

Judges' Comments: Carrie Ann praised both her moves and connection with Maks, but suggested she work on her lines and positions of her arms and legs. Len called her a "funky monkey" and said she should work on her leg positions. Bruno said she had zest and vitality and her legs could use some work.

Judges' Comments: Bruno praised her for taking on a very technically difficult dance and the proceeded to tell her that she was swinging her arms "like a primate". Carrie Ann also commended her for taking on such a ambitious dance, and said that she did open up near the end. Len said the she coped well with ease and elegance but that she should work on her footwork and stretching.

Judges' Comments: Len commented on how nervous she was and the she needed to work on her fluidity. Bruno said that it looked like Tony was pushing a shopping cart around the dance floor and she should work on "performance". Carrie Ann said that she was not a performer or and athlete but that she had a vulnerability and honesty about her.

Judges' Comments: Carrie Ann said "you are good!", but went on to tell him to point his toes and make more of a connection with the audience. Len commended his elegance and artistry but said he needed to connect more with his partner, Anna. Bruno said that he liked how Evan used the dance floor and went to say that he has "the wingspan of a 747".

Judges' Comments: Bruno was encouraging, but said that her performance went from "sassy momma to born again virgin". Carrie Ann disagreed with Bruno and went on to compliment her energy, technique and personality. Len called her dance "uneventful" but that it was also clean, clear and precise.

Judges' Comments: Len said that he was a "rough diamond" and the he should work on his posture. Bruno said that he needed sharpness and he was "a huge talent left untapped". Carrie Ann suggested he should work on his extension. Also, she saw something "primal" in his performance and would like to see more of that.

Judges' Comments: Len commended him for the amount of the dance that he did in "hold" but said he should work on his posture. Bruno said that he lead her well but advised "don't bash her about all the time". Carrie Ann praised his bravado and romance but said he should work on his posture.

Judges' Comments: Bruno was very impressed and spoke of her "startling finesse". Carrie Ann cried out "The bar has just been set for season 10", and that she had never seen a first night performance like it. Len wasn't drinking the same KoolAid as the other two and criticised her footwork, her musicality, her arms and her technique.

Judges' Comments: Carrie Ann said it was disjointed and had no flow or musicality but he did dance with gusto. Len was critical of the gimmicks. Bruno was very critical of the lack of hip action and the went on to say "it was like Kenny Mayne all over again".
