Louis van AmstelLouis van Amstel has been a member of the Dancing With The Stars family since it's inception. He performed as a professional partner in Season 1 with reality star Trista Rehn (finishing last), and Season 2 with Lisa Rinna (finishing in fourth place), and Season 3 with Monique Coleman (finishing in fourth place), and Season 6 with Priscilla Presley (finishing in eighth place).

Louis has also been very involved in choreographing and dancing in group dances on the show. His amazing choreography has been nominated for an Emmy Award.

Louis first began dancing in a theatre dance school and later went on to study Classical Dance and Theory at the University of the Arts in Amsterdam.

In his competitive dancing career, he has won several titles, including: - 7 time Dutch National Amateur Champion
- European Amateur Latin Champion ('95) - World Amateur Latin Champion ('94, '95) - Grand Slam Professional Latin Champion ('95) - World Professional Showdance Champion ('96) - Professional World Latin Finalist ('96) and - U.S. National Latin Champion (2000).

Louis has used his incredible talents in many fields, such as choreographing for the theatre, appearances on TV shows, not to mention serving as creative director, choreographer, and dancer in the touring Dancing With The Stars Show. He also choreographed for Sabrina Bryan in The Cheetah Girls World Tour. He conducts physical fitness through dance classes and has released several videos on Ballroom dance instruction.

In 2009, Louis has spread his talents to another successful television show, So You Think You Can Dance, where he has been a guest choreographer for some of the Ballroom disciplines. Many of his dances have gotten rave reviews by the judges.
