Louis van Amstel has been a member of the Dancing With The Stars family since it's inception. He performed as a professional partner in Season 1 with reality star Trista Rehn (finishing last), and Season 2 with Lisa Rinna (finishing in fourth place), and Season 3 with Monique Coleman (finishing in fourth place), and Season 6 with Priscilla Presley (finishing in eighth place). Louis has also been very involved in choreographing and dancing in group dances on the show. His amazing choreography has been nominated for an Emmy Award. Louis first began dancing in a theatre dance school and later went on to study Classical Dance and Theory at the University of the Arts in Amsterdam. In his competitive dancing career, he has won several titles, including: - 7 time Dutch National Amateur Champion - European Amateur Latin Champion ('95) - World Amateur Latin Champion ('94, '95) - Grand Slam Professional Latin Champion ('95) - World Professional Showdance Champion ('96) and - Professional World Latin Finalist ('96). -
