Bio: Lil' Kim (born Kimberly Denise Jones) was mentored early in her career by The Notorious B.I.G. Her double-platinum debut solo album Hard Core was released in 1996, with the single No Time reaching No. 1 on the Billboard rap chart.

After another successful solo album, The Notorious K.I.M., Lil' Kim had her biggest success, with the remake of Lady Marmalade in collaboration with Pink, Mya and Christina Aguilera for the Moulin Rouge
soundtrack. The song was No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for several weeks, making Lil' Kim the first female rapper to reach the top spot on the chart.

Her latest album, The Naked Truth, debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100, despite (or because of) being released while she was in prison for conspiracy and perjury convictions related to a 2001 shooting outside a radio studio in Manhattan. Kim expects to release her fifth album later this year.
