Dmitry Chaplin was a finalist on FOX's So You Think You Can Dance in Season 2, and appeared on the show the following season as a choreographer.

Dmitry was born in Russia and moved to the U.S. as a teenager. As a professional ballroom dancer, he studied with former Dancing With The Stars professional Louis van Amstel, won the English Open Championship in 2002 and was a finalist in numerous other competitions.

Dmitry was partnered with singer Jewel in Season 8 of Dancing With The Stars before she was forced to withdraw after sustaining stress fractures in her legs during rehearsal. She was replaced by former Playboy playmate Holly Madison. Holly and Dmitry were eliminated in the third week, finishing 11th overall.

Dmitry was partnered with singer Mya for Season 9 of DWTS.
