People are just tired of seeing professional dancers (Jennifer, Nicole...yes, she is a pro) and Olympic athletes win this thing. It is not a contest. Remember when Carrie Ann said to Jennifer "You are the chosen one" and the audience booed? I think the reason Kyle and Bristol have come this far is that viewers are saying lets give it to those who showed the most progress and are genuinly learning from the experience. If you don't like Bristol, vote for Kyle. He didn't grow up with the rich and famous in NY, and start dance as a young child. Make this a CONTEST and fair. BTW Brooke needs a personality.

Attitude is a big part of it, because there is an audience out there that gets to vote. If they don't like your attitude you can bet they are not going to be voting for you at all, even if you danced a perfect dance.

"oh silk....tell me you didn't go there?.....must have seen her from their front porch eh?.....SP's forgiegn relations plan for America....shoot first ask questions later.....and if ya can do it from the comfort of a helicopter all the better....lol" But I DID go to Alaska -- way back in '57, before it was a state. Caught Alaskan King Crabs right off the side of my ship while anchored at Kodiak. They din't know about Alaska's oil back then -- they was gettin' a lot from Texas an' Oklahoma. Speakin' of oil -- Do ya think Bristol's initials are "BP" by coincidence !!??? Inquiring minds want to know !!

Anytime you choose to bring politics into a competition, your image will be destroyed and this is what is happening. DWTS I thought was a beautiful competition each episode to showcase stars. This is the first year you have not done that. You need to change the way the voting is done. I do admire those who come on to the show with no talent whatsoever and I watch them grow. That is a great feeling but when you have real talent out there such as Jennifer Grey and Brandi who shine every week and look as good as the pros, HOW, I ask HOW in the world can you allow the politics to take over and dismiss those who indeed deserve the opportunity to win. I am appalled.
AND, please get rid of Brook. She is terrible. She comes across the cameras as snobbish, no heart or feelings and likes to ask infantile questions in a gossipy way. Thank goodness I record the program first so I an fast forward through any conversations Brook has standing beside the co-host or the stars. She is awful!!!
I also feel it is time to change the judges. Either get rid of all three or consider replacing one of them. When the judges start letting their feelings interfere with their job (as Bruno and Carrie Ann have done), it is time to move them out.

Take it up with the producers. Your infatuation is creepy." No, Ma'am --- it WAS a TV show. The Palinistas destroyed it for everyone in their insane attempt to cheat the imaginary demons on "the left" !! I'm an older person that DOES have an account, and I think Mr. Lennie is biased, too !! Week after week after week, we watch that old codger give his opinions about his scores as truthfully as he knows how -- but with a strong bias against crappy dancing and un-inspired performances, such as we've recently seen leading up to the Bristol Palin fiasco. Yes, Lennie's bias against mediocrity has served him well -- but alas, his valiant efforts fell victim to politically-motivated cyborterrorists that cheated the voting system to insure a win for their favorite T-bagger Republican politician's talentless offspring. As for THIS older person, I'm biased, too !! I'm biased against cheaters and any network that supports such abuses by allowing the contest to continue without corrective action being taken. Thank you.

well maybe its time the judges votes should count for 55% or more of the votes. they may play favorites but they are the ones that are SUPPOSED to know actually how the dances should go. its just unbelievable that Bristol is still there. she has improved but still not the quality of the other dancers . guess its all about the ratings though and no matter what the fans think or how they vote, whoever the network thinks will keep the ratings up will hang on to dance another day. really stinks if thats the case.

Now that it is clear that the at-hme voting for Ms Palin has been distorted by pro Tea Party fanatics, the next step for Ms Palin is to restire from the competition. And ABC bears part of the blame since it is either unwilling or unable to insure the validity of the at-home voting. The whole show is a farce and no one should watch the finals.

Are you kidding, or what !!??? There's no way in hell that Bristol would be allowed to resign, especially after her publicity-junky mother shouted "Just take over!" at Bristol during one of those periods when Bristol was being hesitant. The whole thing falls on ABC -- because NOBODY knows how many votes were cast by the viewers !! They come out and tell us who is "safe", but we don't know what the vote-count was for each contestant. Let's face it -- Bristol Palin was chosen to improve the show's ratings -- and they're going to KEEP her there for that very same reason. ABC has shown us CLEARLY that they have no intention of running a genuine Dancing Contest -- because they can make more money by helping Sarah Palin's political campaign. But hey, they have a right to run their show any way they want -- and we have the right to change the channel to another network when we feel that we've been cheated. If you go around and check the other DWTS threads, you'll find that there are MANY viewers who have said that they'll never watch DWTS again, and some are dumping the entire network !! The overwhelming majority of recent posts show that ABC's dirty tricks are NOT popular with the long-time viewers, and it looks like the network will suffer in the long run. Yes indeed, WyldBill -- ABC screwed their viewers again - and people don't like to be made fools of -- and mebbe that's a lesson that ABC will have to learn the hard way.

I thought tonight's insta-dances were good. The three stand out dancers were: Kyle, Jennifer (who always does a good job) and Brandy. What I didn't appreciate is how Carrie Ann ticked off Maksim. Carrie Ann had no right to smart off to Maksim and Brandy. I thought they really did a good job. That's my thought on that. I just hope Jennifer's health holds out for her to make it into the finals also I thought it was sweet and touching how Jennifer's father came in and gave her a pep talk.

Does anyone really understand how the public voting is figured into the overall score? I've never really heard it explained. I have to agree with Tom Bergeron, if you don't vote for anyone then you really have no right to complain about someone staying or going. A few seasons back, when Sabrina was voted off everyone was complaining about her going. Well, if they liked her so well they should have voted for her instead of assuming she would make it through. You can't complain about something if you do nothing to change it or help it.

Bristol Palin may be cute and has grown as a non-performer and dancer and done for herself well in a challange that normally would not be open to her, but really....... Someone's pockets are getting a little deeper to boost this girls moral and keep the Palins in the limelight. Bristol has done well. But if I wanted to see Dancing with the the Dental assistants I'd be watching the E! network

"so true - Bristol is not to blame or should she step aside. My my kings and Queens have been made by chopping off the heads of thier apponets since the begning of time....Like Bristol or not, Like Jennifer Grey or not it's Dancing with the Stars. Not reality tv children or dental assistants. The show is a long run/commitment and you can see the contestants themselves really enjoying themselves and excited to meet others on the show. The audience is full of "stars" always for this show. I really hope it gets back to the "Star" factor for next season - and truly like in my first post. Someone's pockets are getting deeper and deeper every week. ohh just as a side not America is voting for these contestants? So nothing hanky panky would be going on like a boxer throwing a fight or perhaps an entire baseball team ( what year was that) - yeah deep pockets people" yes and I see coming to the .99cent store in the near future, Bristol Palins book - How my Mother bought my disco ball and it ruined my life.....this will be a short book perhaps with crayons ----

Non of the contestants on the show are professional dancers. Then they would not be on it. The show is called Dancing with the "STARS". Not Dancing with the child of a political figure. People did not think it was fair last year when Nicole one because she had dance training when she was young, but the difference was she isn't dancing professionally she is a singer in a girl band. What is the definition of a Star? Someone who is on TV, in the Movies, sings or plays in a band?

"OH !! it's about DANCING - Since when are ball players considered DANCERS - If your phone reception is good under that rock Lizard use it to vote" Yes, chickaboob, the show is about DANCING -- I apologize for being so foolish as to think that even a total boob could figure out that the show is about DANCING -- especially since the word "DANCING" is in the show's title. Our troops have a saying about this sort of confusion: "There's always somebody that didn't get the message!" In this case, it was YOU !! And lizards don't live UNDER rocks -- they live among the rocks, and are most often found basking in the sunshine ON TOP of rocks. My phone service us GREAT out here in the desert -- thanks for asking. VERIZON works best in the mountains, and is very popular with us desert-dwellers -- and we get our car insurance from the Geico Gecko !! In closing -- I can still vote, but Bristol Palin STILL can't dance !!!

Of course Brandy is the better dancer, of course it's the people's votes that keep Bristol on. But, why should we talk about Bristol as if she's killed someone? It's a TV show! And, a fun one! Everyone gets paid well, the Stars and the Professionals have a great time. Bristol is just a young girl and even though it seems obvious that her Mom's pals have kept Bristol on the dance floor, no one should ever talk so badly about this girl as if she's done something wrong. She hasn't. Also, does anyone remember the first season of DWTS? The judges had the sole vote and the winners were not the popular choice so there was an unofficial dance off...and the rules were changed to allow for the judges votes to count as half and we the people(!) allowed the other half of the vote. So Bristol's in. (A couple season's ago, Cloris Leachman was in for a long time too and she certainly didn't dance very well. Of course, she was a joy!) I think we need to keep in perspective about this: it's entertainment and there's no excuse for folks to be cruel. Just enjoy.

You call it "FUN" when the best dancer in a DANCE contest is sent home, while the worst performer is allowed to go on to win a very large prize !!???? Well, the vast majority of the people here are OUTRAGED at the fiasco that you call "fun" !! Making silly excuses for the DWTS travesty won't appease those folks, and I can't understand why you would even TRY to come at us as if WE were at fault here !! So let's dump the waving of the Bristol Palin crying towell -- and face the FACTS -- 1.-Bristol Palin has NOT performed better than others who were sent home. 2.- EVERYBODY knows it, and the vast majority of posters here have expressed their extreme dislike of the "Worst contestant wins!" crapola that we were fed -- and are fed up with !!

I am ever amazed at the unprofessional demeanor of the judges and some of the pro dancers on the show. The utter look of shock and disbelief on the faces of the professionals last night as Brandy was eliminated and Bristol remained, was such a disappointment to me. Not only is the attitude unprofessional, but rude to "stars" that are only there because of the invitation of the network. I believe that many of us who vote for others than the chosen favorite, may be voting for the growth of other contestants, the enjoyment of what they bring to the dance, and as amatures ourselves, probably are not looking at the correct posture for a certain dance or whether the contestant is stepping heal first or toe first. I know the judges use this criteria in their voting, but don't believe many in the audience do. I think we vote for the people we enjoy watching the most! Half of the score comes from the judges opinion, half from the audience. Please don't act as though we in the audience are idiots just because we appreciate something different than you do. Part of the show's draw is that the audience gets to have a vote in who stays and who goes.

only worthy if politics are left out. in this case I think it ran amuck by a push from a certain family. Definitely not fair.and I think Miss BP should voluntarily drop-out. She has no talent, and never appeared to be interested. Danced like a wooden stick. And right now is deserving of ridcule and not deserving of any respect because she must know she doesn't belong. And the most improved dancer was Kyle who by the way IS a star.

I'm done with it also.... I will never watch the show again.... I have nothing against Bristol....All I do know is she should have been gone weeks ago... She should have been voted off before, Adrina, and Rick Fox and also the football player... I forgot his name..... I'm so upset that the show is not about talent anymore.....Bristol is not a better Dancer then most of the people that have been voted off... And I know she has to this and she should feel bad.... If she gets that trophy then I know that DWTS is some ********.......I'm happy that Brandy and her Partner remain professional even tho they both know that they should still be on the show.....
