You know, I am not convinced that Mya will go all the way. the judges have not been overly generous to her, and there really is a lack of connection between her and Dmitry. Kelly, Donny, and Joanna have such a good rapport and connection with their partners, and for some reason I think this might be Mya's undoing.

Wow, Carrie-Anne so, so wanted Louie to move on. Her face goes blank at the very end of the results show when Louie said he had a waltz (complete with a double backflip twisty, lol) ready for next week that no one will see now. Carrie-Anne was stuck with her deciding vote because she knew that if she picked Louie it would be disgraceful to DWTS because Michael did the dance-off just a bit better. Michael pulled out some funky hip movement for the first time and Louie has zero hip movement. Something as simple (or as hard) as moving your hips to the beat of the music and to your partners movement is dancing 101. I'm glad the judges scored Michael fairly in the week 6 dance-off. Michael is much too stiff with his body but he does have airy feet and this week, proper hip gyration...

The last three winners were women, that's true. However, the previous 4 winners were all men. My own theory is that there was so much flak about 4 men in a row winning that in season 6 they brought in Kristie Yamaguchi. Before she took one step on the dance floor she was going to win. Then in season 7 Brooke Burke was the non-dancer who came out and danced. She to my eye, deserved it that season. Shawn Johnson comes in with a fanbase that had 60% of the vote from week 1. For nobody Gilles Marini to come within a half a percent of that huge advantage was more than amazing. Gilles, for me has been the best non-dancer ever on the show. And the scores reflected that.

This season it's advantage to the household "name" to win the trophy. But I do love Dark Horses, and hope he gets to dance in the finale..

Judge Len is old! Shakira was on Saturday Night Live last night and did not dance much at all in those shoes, she pranced around more like a stripper. I might have to change my vote and go with Mario now...
