Bio: Belinda Carlisle was the lead singer for the Go-Go's, whose biggest hits included "We Got hte Beat," "Vacation," "Our Lips Are Sealed" and "Head Over Heels." Their debut album "Beauty and the Beat" was No. 1 on the Billboard chart for five weeks and ranked 413 on Rolling Stone's 2003 list of the top 500 albums of all time.

After the Go-Go's initially split in 1985, Belinda kicked off a successful solo career with the album "Belinda," featuring the hit "Mad About You," which topped out at No. 3 in the U.S. Her biggest solo hit came with the release of "Heaven Is a Place on Earth," from her second solo album "Heaven on Earth," which reached No. 1.

Belinda followed up with several more solo albums, as well as a 2001 album of new material with the Go-Go's, with whom she still tours occasionally.
