	Alec won the first ever Dancing With The Stars championship, with actress Kelly Monaco in Season 1. Partnering with models worked out less well for Alec in later seasons, when he was in the first couple eliminated twice in a row, with Paulina Porizkova in Season 4 and Josie Maran in Season 5. He partnered singer Toni Braxton to eighth place in Season 7. Alec is married to fellow DWTS pro Edyta Sliwinska, with whom he also has partnered as amateur and professional competitors. He was born in Russia and moved to the U.S. at the age of 12. He runs ballroom dance studios in California. Alec is not competing in Season 8 of Dancing With The Stars.
