She seemed a little nervous, and surely those nerves will calm down as she goes along. I agree she has a lot of potential to improve. I thought Natalie was another one who looks like she could be good after she settles in.

So Ashley Hamilton and Macy Gray are out... is anyone surprised? I thought they were both good choices, but I hope they don't continue the double eliminations with a male and female star eliminated each week. I think it would be better just to eliminate the worst dancer, regardless if they are male or female.

I couldn't tell what the heck she said. She was talking and then all of a sudden, the audience was louder than her (how do they cover up cussing on live TV?) and the judges couldn't keep their s*** together to give the scores.

New Training Rules For The Stars

I was just watching an AM talk show and they were discussing the new rules for the stars training. The rules were made in hopes to try to prevent all the injuries that have occurred in recent years of the show. The rules include: 1. No training for more than 5 hours a day, 2. After every 2 hours of training they must take a 1/2 hour break, and 3. They must take one day off a week (no more training for 7 days straight).
I think these new rules are good, but do you think this will impact the quality of performances?

"And ... wouldn't the money they win go down because they are not working as much?" I'm not sure....I would think that they are paid by the week/show. I somehow can't see these stars punching a time card for an hourly wage.

E! Online is reporting that Dancing With The Stars might have 16 (!) celebrities next season instead of the usual 13, and they'll eliminate two couples each week for the first several weeks. Seems like it might be a little too chaotic, and harder to get to know the stars during the season. What do you think?

At the end of the season when they have everyone come back, I always look back at the first two or three couples eliminated and think, "Oh yeah, they were on the show!" Seems like that will be even more the case now with 16 couples.

I can't wait for season 9, but I hope that it doesn't become another "all about the Osmonds" show like it did when Marie was on. I don't think Donny will be quite as irritating as Marie was though.
